Cities are a work in progress, shaped by the future as much as by the past. Because we cannot assume the future form or character of cities, continued vigilant and strategic urban monitoring is imperative to creating and securing healthier, more sustainable places. Thanks to the work of projects like FCL Global, we now know more than ever about how to shape the urban transition.

Was wurde erreicht – und was bleibt zu tun?

Supported by the four key pillars of foundational science, design, engineering, and governance, over the past 15 years, FCL has successfully brought together experts in fields ranging from urban planning, architecture, social sciences, and environmental sciences to address the complex challenges of urbanisation, healthy living, and climate change.

FCL Global has adopted the mission to address these challenges, leveraging on ETH Zurich’s foundation in both cutting-edge basic and translational research.

Basierend auf Grundlagenforschung, Design, Ingenieurwesen und Governance, brachte FCL in den letzten 15 Jahren erfolgreich Fachleute aus Stadtplanung, Architektur, Sozial- und Umweltwissenschaften zusammen, um komplexe Herausforderungen der Urbanisierung, des Klimawandels und eines gesunden Lebensraums anzugehen.

Das Future Cities Laboratory (FCL) Global Programm am Singapore-ETH Centre ist eine bahnbrechende Initiative, die einen multidisziplinären Ansatz zur Neugestaltung urbaner Räume für die Zukunft verkörpert.
