UrbanMetrix is a disruptive 3D site-analysis and conceptual-design tool for architects, engineers and developers. This tool revolutionizes the way we create buildings in cities by literally inverting the design-process and allowing it to start from environmental resources. Sun, views, noise, and wind are thus turned into crucial resources of the design process allowing it to address with new means one the biggest challenges of our time: the design of healthy and sustainable cities.
Profile
BA/MS degree in architecture with some years of work experience. Advanced skills in 3D modeling and experience in applying new digital technologies in sustainable design processes. Good communication skills, comfortable in writing textsand flexible in contributing to any urgentneed of our firm. Required: knowledge in Rhino, Grasshopper, and fluent English. Appreciated: fluent German, and knowledge in ArchiCAD, Revit, Adobe suite, Energy Simulation, Autodesk Forma, Ladybug tools, and video-making.
Context
We offer the typical unstructured and constantly changing environment of a small and young multidisciplinary startup and the possibility to participate in a stimulating project. You will be working on several tasks in close contact with architects, engineers, and software developers. Our office is in Comano, near Lugano, and your work will startin the second half of 2025.
Role
As a digitally-skilled architect you will assist the CEO in different stimulating tasks. You will become an expert user of the tool and you will help the team in the development and testing of new features. You will produce user on-boarding materials and animate webinars and demos for early-adopters. You will assist some of the largest and most innovative architecture firms in Switzerland, in applying the softwareon large-scale and high-rise projects. You will contribute in the development of plugins that will connect UrbanMetrix to some of the most diffused 3D modelers and computational design tools.
