Innovation and development as a result of ongoing research in digital fabrication with cementitious materials promise to revolutionise the world of concrete construction. In order to succeed in research on digital fabrication with cement-based materials, interdisciplinarity is key. Related research projects require the knowledge of architects, civil engineers, materials scientists and roboticists, among others. As part of the 1st RILEM International Conference on Concrete and Digital Fabrication organised by RILEM, the National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) Digital Fabrication and ETH Zurich the leading academic and industry experts in this new and rapidly developing research field will be presenting their research and ideas. Included within the scope of the conference and pre-conference workshops are materials aspects including mix design, rheology and admixtures; all concrete processing research topics such as pumping and extraction as well as aspects related to structure, design, and construction methods.
Date: 9th September (PhD training courses), 10th to 12th of September 2018 (Conference)
Location: ETH Zurich Hoenggerberg Campus, 8093 Zurich
